A number of noted personalities of the Romanian cultural life, such as Vice-President of the Academy of Romania Dan Berindei, Academician Ştefan Ştefănescu, Academician Dinu C. Giurescu, Bishop dr. Emilian Lovişteanu, the Manager of the Bucharest City Museum dr. Ionel Ioniţă, prof. univ. dr. Ioan Opriş, Archpriest dr. Dinu Pompiliu, pr. dr. Florin Şerbănescu, prof. dr. Radu Ciuceanu, prof. univ. dr. Constantin Rezachevici, Constanţa Costea, prof. univ. dr. Tereza Sinigalia were present at the Soutzou Palace, on January 23rd, 2012, to celebrate 53 years since the Bucharest City Museum has been housed by this above mentioned edifice - one of the most important well preserved palaces in the center of the Romanian capital - and also 80 years of life of one of the former manager of the Museum, prof. dr. Panait I. Panait, reputed historian, whose whole activity was dedicated to Bucharest. |
