Excerpt | During the latest archaeological campaign from 2002, pits were discovered from the early and 4th-5th centuries AD, a Late Iron Age context, and a dwelling from the first half of the 5th century AD. Also, fragments of pottery were found dated from the Bronze Age. The most important discovery is dwelling no. 25. It has a rectangular plane with rounded comers. In one corner were discovered two kitchen kilns that were successively used. The archaeological material consists of hand-made and wheel-made pottery, burned clay and wood, few animal bones, and calcite. The pottery analogies are the arguments to date this dwelling in the first half of 5th century AD. |
