Excerpt | After the 1921 revolution, the Romanian rulers were using various residences: the princely houses on the Podul Mogosoaiei st., the ones at the Mihai Voda Monastery, the Ghica-Tei Palace, the Stirbey Palace, the palace near the Metropolitan Church, the Cotroceni Palace. Among others, we note the remarkable palace built by Dinicu Golescu, which became palace of the state. The main cause of this fact was due to the lack of a settlement able to withstand the multiple requirements of such a space of representation and protocol. |
