Excerpt The Golescu inn was one of the important commercial nuclei in Bucharest, part of an area that underwent changes, in time. lt was built by the beginnings of the 19th century, due to the great Ban Radu Golescu (1746-1818). The paper presents the series of events that lead to the change of owners, demolishment and the building of the Nirescher properties and passage, in the area involving the Calea Rahovei, Sf Nicolae din Prund and Bibescu Voda streets. The Nirescher passage was demolished in 1984.
