Excerpt | The article presents a manuscript entitled Sinthikai Eirinis-Traite de Paix from the Municipal Museum of Bucharest Library, which contains a compilation of diplomatic texts copied in French, Greek and Romanian by Manuil (Manolache) Serghiadi (1775-1844), a boyar of the middle class of Bucharest, during the years 1828-1844. The manuscript contains the peace treaties signed between Austria, Russia and the Ottoman Empire during the years 1791 (Şistov), 1792 (Iaşi), 1812 (Bucharest) and 1829 (Adrianople), the Akkerman Convention of 1826 and six firmans and hatt-i sherifs emitted by the Ottoman Porte during the years 1827, 1834 and 1843, for the rulers of Walachia. |
