| Excerpt | The Municipal Museum of Bucharest Documents collection owns only 7 paper original documents dating from the brief (about 9 months, only) Wallachian ruling of Matei Ghica (from Sept. 11th, 1752, when he was invested ruler, to June 22nd 1753). Their content refers to an endowment, an estates exchange concluded between Constantin Brâncoveanu great chancellor, nephew of Constantin Vodă Brâncoveanu, and father Sardeos from the church founded by the former Domniţa (Princess) Bălaşa; a complaint addressed to the great ban Barbu Văcărescu concerning the Nedeia and Nedeiţa estates, in the Dolj district; a document of division of the estates from Walachia and Moldavia among the Radu Dumitraşco and Ioan Racoviţă, as well as 3 documents concerning the selling/buying of the Scăiani and Măcreşti estates or of some houses on the Uliţa cea Mare a Şelarilor - the Şelari main road in Bucharest, as well as that of the necessary items for bed and table lying, a coach with 6 trotters, sheep, lambs, plow oxen, cows and calves, queen bees, vineyards at Dealul Sărăţii and Cârlomăneşti, estates and parts of estates (Gradişte, Cândeşti, Cârlomăneşti şi Măgurele), Gypsies together with ”housekeeping girls”. |
