Excerpt	The authoress stresses upon the personality of the man of arms, of arts and upon his tormented life dedicated to the ideals of social justice of the Romanian people. The Rosetti family have linked their name with major events in our existence, during more than 400 years. Having their origins in the l3th century Genoa, they moved to Constantinople, mixing up with the Byzantine aristocracy, then they came to Wallachia by the beginning of the l8th century, where they became highly important political personalities having played an important part in the history of the Romanian people. Their most expressive member of the Rosetti family was to be C.A. Rosetti (1816-1885) - one of the most prominent personalities of his generation.
