Excerpt	Archaeological research at the church of the "Holly Emperos at" Buciumeni - Buftea The Buciumeni church - historic monument of the XVIllth century - was affected by the earthquakes in 1977, 1986, 1990, act that determined urgent consolidation interventions. On this occasion, archaeological investigations were performed. The Buciumeni village was first attested in 1595. The archaeological investigations regarding the church comprised four sections. The existence of an anterior building was observed, and some tombs were found, which complete the information about the existence of an older church on the very place. According to the diggings, the inhabitance dates from the VI-Vlllth centuries A.D. The investigations of the monument brought to the light details useful for the restoration of the monument.
