Excerpt | Starting from the remote times when hospitals were first created, it seems, by the 3rd century B. C., at the initiative of the Buddhist king, Asoka, the authoress invites us to discover the more recent history of a hospital from Bucharest, called „Filantropia" (from the Greek syntagma „Iove of people") - the third hospital inaugurated in Bucharest, after the „Colţea" and the „Pantelimon" ones. The story of the Filantropia hospital blends with that of Doctor Dumitru Caracaş, its initiator. |
