| Excerpt | One of the first archaic forms of theatre from ancient Romanian territories is the ,,Căluşarii“. They came from warrior Thracian dance called ,,kolavrismos“ and represent a remnant of Greek thiases. All experts agree that this dance had a magic-religious nature. The first forms of dramatic spectacles descent from traditional Romanian customs: colindele, Pluguşorul, Sorcova, Capra, Steaua, Viflaimul, etc., which subsequently became Romanian folk theatre. |
